"The present is the only time that any of us have to be alive, to know anything, to perceive, to learn, to act, to change, to heal." - Jon Kabat-Zinn

Gwennie Fraser Gwennie has found great benefit from developing mindfulness in her own life, and through her meditation practice since 1994. Her personal experience of practice inspired her to train in mindfulness-based approaches in order to be able to help people in widely ranging circumstances to develop their own inner resources through mindfulness, and to respond more effectively to stress, pain and illness. Gwennie has a research background in medical anthropology and her doctoral thesis explored the ritual symbolism of healing practices amongst indigenous groups in the Bolivian Andes. She currently teaches introductory workshops and courses in mindfulness, and eight week courses in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in Northumberland and NE England. A distant learning option for the 8 Week Course is available. She also runs follow up courses and day retreats to support people who have completed the 8 Week Course in their ongoing practice. Gwennie is happy to arrange courses for private groups, organisations, or for the workplace. Gwennie lives in the Northumberland National Park with her husband and two young daughters.
